Hoddesdon

Web design in Hoddesdon, built by someone local

About

A local web designer, not a faceless agency

I'm Suley Tangun, a web designer and developer based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. I work with small businesses across Hertfordshire and London. When you work with me, you deal with me directly, not an offshore team or an account manager.

I started building websites at 14 and have more than 20 years of experience building websites and brands. Today I combine that technical background with senior-level digital marketing experience. Your site is designed to look right, load quickly and help people get in touch.

Services

What I can build for your business

  • Bespoke websites

From single-page sites to larger builds with many service pages, designed and developed end to end.

  • Rebuilds of tired websites

Slow pages, out-of-date plugins and layouts that don't work on phones.

  • Content you can manage yourself

So you can update services, locations and news without waiting on a developer.

  • Search visibility built in

Clear service pages, sensible page titles and descriptions, and the technical basics that help you be found in Google and in AI answer engines.

  • Branding and print

Logos, brochures and marketing material that match your website.

  • Email marketing

Hand-built emails and automated journeys, so you can keep in touch with customers through a channel you own.

Recent work

Coffee Station

Coffee Station runs coffee kiosks at 23 train stations in the UK, including Broxbourne. Before the project, its domain pointed visitors to a Facebook page. I designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website with a custom content management system, so the team can add, update and remove locations themselves. The site includes a Google Maps station locator and a contact form with branded email notifications. It runs over HTTPS with Cloudflare CDN, and WordPress is kept up to date as part of ongoing maintenance.

Aspen Rose

A website for a garden maintenance and landscaping company in Enfield. I first built it in 2024 and rebuilt it in 2026 to fix slow pages and out-of-date plugins.

Woodcraft Shutters

A conversion-focused website for a made-to-measure shutter company working across Essex, Hertfordshire and London. It focuses on enquiries, local SEO and an easy customer journey.

Coverage

Areas I cover

I'm based in Hoddesdon and work with businesses in Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Ware, Hertford and Enfield, as well as across wider Hertfordshire and London. Meeting in person is easy if you're local, and many projects run just as smoothly over video calls and email.

How it works

How a project works

  1. 01

    A conversation first

Tell me about your business, your customers and what your current website isn't doing. I'll come back with an honest recommendation, timeline and cost.

  2. 02

    Planning and design

We agree the pages, the content and the look before any build starts, so there are no surprises.

  3. 03

    Build and launch

I develop the site, test it on desktop, tablet and mobile, and handle the technical details of going live, including redirects from an old site.

  4. 04

    Looking after it

Websites need updates and security attention after launch. Ongoing maintenance can be arranged so the site stays fast and secure.

Why it matters

Why a well-built website still matters

People in Hoddesdon and nearby still search Google and Maps when they need a local business. More and more of them also ask AI tools for recommendations. Either way, your website is the place you control. It's where people check your services, read reviews and decide whether to call. A clear, fast, well-structured site helps on both fronts, and it doesn't depend on any one platform's algorithm.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Are you actually based in Hoddesdon?

Yes. I'm based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, and work with businesses locally and across London.

Do you only work with Hertfordshire businesses?

No. Many of my clients are in London, and some are further afield. Being local simply makes it easy to meet in person if you'd prefer.

Can you fix my existing website rather than start again?

Often, yes. Some sites need a full rebuild, as Aspen Rose did to fix slow pages and out-of-date plugins. Others need targeted fixes. I'll tell you honestly which applies to yours.

Will I be able to update the website myself?

Yes. I build sites with a content management system, so you can edit text, images and pages. Coffee Station's team, for example, manages its own station locations.

Do you help with SEO as well as design?

Yes. Search basics are built into every site, and I offer SEO services for ongoing work, including technical audits and local SEO.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the size and features you need. Tell me about your project and I'll come back with an honest recommendation, timeline and cost.
