Menu and Invitation Design

Designs that set the tone before a single word is read. From restaurant menus and price lists to event invitations, I design each piece so it suits the occasion and the details are easy to find.

  • Dark chocolate tart
  • Lemon posset

What you can expect from menu and invitation design

Layouts that are easy to scan

Clear sections, readable type and prices or details that line up, so people can find what they want at the table or at a glance.

A look that suits the occasion

Fonts, colours and layout chosen for the place or event. A wedding invitation and a café menu should feel very different in the hand.

A size and fold that fit

A single card, a folded menu or a tall, slim format, chosen around how much you need to say and where it will be used.

Artwork that's easy to update

Dishes, dates and prices change, so I set up the layout to take those edits and stay tidy when they happen.

Print-ready artwork

A PDF set up the way your printer asks for it, with the bleed, crop marks and colour settings in place.

A version for screens

A lighter PDF or image for your website, email or messages, so people can see the menu or invitation wherever they are.

How a menu or invitation project works

  1. Step 1

    Brief and details

You tell me what it's for, where it will be used and how many versions you need. You send the wording, dates, dishes or prices, and I'll flag anything missing.

  2. Step 2

    Format and direction

I suggest a size and fold, then design the front and one section so you can see the direction before everything is laid out.

  3. Step 3

    Full layout and checks

I lay out all the content and make the rounds of changes we agreed at the start. You check the prices, dates and names, as guests and customers will rely on them.

  4. Step 4

    Files for print and screen

You get print-ready artwork set up the way your printer asks for it, plus a lighter version for your website, email or messages.

Common questions

It depends on the size, how many versions you need and how much content there is. I'll give you a clear quote before any work begins.
